I keep moving so I won't rust

It was a long summer.
Autumn did not last long enough.
Winter's coming promise.

Springtime is a good thing

My work schedule the past 3 months was 6.5 and 7 days a week on the project.
The contractors announced today they will go back to a 5 or 6 day work week in April.
That means I'll have my first Sunday off since New Years day.
Happy dance.

The winter I'm still wishing for

So far this winter has been much to mild for my Nordic blood.  I want snow and cold.
It has snowed a bit.  Spits and spurts but no significant accumulation.  I went for a bike ride on Christmas day.  it was 45 degrees!  Cross country skiing has been a challenge.  There was just enough snow to cover the ground on January 2nd.  My hope for more snow wains with every forecast.  I'm making the best of it and still holding some hope for a snowy February and March.

 Christmas day bike ride.

 Finally, some snow.

 Ski trails just OK.

 Looking for more snow.

Skiers.  Yes!

Wait, where did summer go?

Yikes, I've been working a bit. No complaints. I'm happy to be employed and like my job. Mostly.
I came down with a bad case of tendinitis in my knee so running stopped and only minimal biking was allowed.
So here's a quick photo essay of my summer 2011.

1,322 miles in 6 days

No, not swimming nor running but biking...
with a motor, a very big rumbley motor. Probably the most fun I've had between my legs.

I threw my leg over a Harley Davidson VROD in Denver, CO and went west and south and then north and back to Denver.
