My Switzerland vacation was too short.
2 days after Ironman Zurich, I took the train to the Berner Oberland region of Interlaken
and and then up into the alps to Grindelwald.
Stayed in a nice hotel and my room’s balcony faced the Eiger.
The hotel was equipped with a fantastic day spa and a wonderfully skilled massage therapist named Kristine. Went whitewater rafting and canyonning.
Took a marvelous hike north of Grindelwald on a day when I just couldn’t take a bad picture.
I then went by train to Murren and hiked down to Gimmelwald where I stayed at the Mountain Hostel. Very nice and very beautiful hostess, outdoor wood-fired hot tub, beer and great pizza.
Took a long hike up to the Sprutz water fall and crossed paths with a farmer cutting his hay with a scythe and met a few local cows on the trail.
Traveled back to Interlaken and arrived just in time to see some of the Nissan Outdoor Games. Kayaking, mountain bike jumping, paragliding, and sky diving.
Then went to Luzern and arrived in time for the summer town festival and farmers market. Good fresh food, live music, and beer.
Back to Zurich for a day at the lake, a massage, good food, and beer.

It looks like an incredible trip!!
Looks like you had a great time! Jealous, very jealous :-)
Are those pictures for real?! You should make a calendar!
By the way, what happened to your raft in that picture? It looks like you're whitewater bodysurfing!
no wetsuit girl,
you said it! canyoning IS whitewater body surfing.
the rafting was done before the canyoning. sorry, no photos.
Beer seems to be the central theme here? And cows? Hmmmm sounds like someplace I know...
