and next August I'll be doing

What the effing heck got into me?!!!
It's not like I had a few hundred bucks burning a hole in my pocket. I didn't win any cash prizes at the church bingo game. I didn't even find any loose change under the couch cushions. And I'm still tatoo-less from IM Switzerland.
Jeees, now I gotta lay out a training schedule and all that hoohah. I think I'll wait a couple months.
Yeah, I bought my way into Ironman Canada 2008.
I filled out the community fund slot request, sent them 2 cheques; one for the entry fee and one for the community fund donation, mailed it and then waited.
2 weeks later, I got a simple email requesting I confirm the information on the request form and to complete a race entry form.
I'm IN!!!
Anyone out there ever done IM Canada?

you're not nuts, you're an addict. there's a difference. :-)
can't wait to watch kona. its like watching boston for me - someplace i'll never get to. at least until i'm the only one in my age group...
Um...crazy...yes...crazy.
Have fun in Canada!!
Now you'll be able to give your advice on doing the various IM races for those of us slowly planning out our first one!
Ya-hoooo, more entertaining blogs and pictures await... and maybe a tattoo? I think those community slots are a great idea; that is, if you have the money and happen to live in North America, which you do, so it's great!
PS Don't listen to Rocketpants, she's calling everyone crazy this week.
IM Canada. Awesome! Good for you. I can't wait to watch your progress as you train.
you are a wee bit crazy, but at least those canadians speak english, aye?
OMG!!! I am so excited for you!! And I am very interested in watching your training for this. No doubt it will be inspiring for me in my journey to IMFL '08. It's gonna be a CRAZY year!!!!
WOOT!
Dream big and go for it - and tell us all about it so we can cheer you on :)
