Spring has spru....
check that.
Spring is TRYING to spring.
I won't sugar coat anything here.
The weather has been mostly crappy the past 2 weeks and the forecast for the next week is more of the same crap.
Pardon my bad attitude here but I really want some descent weather to train OUTDOORS. The past 2 weekends I've had to do my runs at the indoor track and last Sunday I got snowed on during my ride. Frickin SNOW on April 27th! It was 41 degrees and big, wet snow flakes were splatting on my glasses.

Kris, me, Nick...snow.
OK, there is a little bright side to this. The sun was shining last Wednesday and again this Tuesday and yesterday, and this morning but it's been chilly. Now the western sky is darkening and we're in for cold rain and thunderstorms for the next few days. Am I getting old and crabby and picky or is this spring truly a little off the mark as far as "nice spring weather"?
I know I'm solar powered, as many triathletes are, and I need the warm sun and wind to feel alive. Those of you in warmer climates (read south of the 45th deg. parallel) are likely enjoying some blooms and blossoms by now. My trees started to bud a week ago but have been in suspended animation since then. What is going on here?
I'm gonna stop whining now and do what Lance says to do...
"tuffen the Fu@# up."
Training is going fine even if the weather isn't.

man..you will really appreciate the summer this year.....
hey, at least you snuck in that fabulous trip to italy....
Reminds me of my glorious college days at Syracuse - white outs every day at lunch. Hang in there! One of these days Mother Nature will throw an 80-degree day at cha' when you least expect it :-)Just hope you don't have to work late that day!
You say 'whining' as though it was a bad thing?
ohhh that totally sucks! I hope May brings some nicer weather for ya.
sending you sunshine....and no, you are not a wimp...
you understand why we live in the desert? A couple rough summer months, but no freaking snow! :-0
Here's to wishing you spring!
Wow. It feels like summer here. I forget how cold it is where you are. You are tough...hands down.
Biking with snow on the ground is impressive. You'll really love summer when it finally arrives!
I FEEL you, man! (Makes solidarity sign, tapping fist on heart)
Wanna move to San Diego with me?
