Please excuse me if I'm ignorant here but I don't see why these clothing items could cost that much. A little help here... or just have a little giggle for yourself.

Hoodie, $540, and shirt, $330, by Prada. Pants, $325, by Ralph Lauren. Sneakers, $42.

Polo shirt, $265, By D&G. T-Shirt, $65, by Rag and Bone. Khakis, $295, by Burberry London.
A Polo shirt for $265 !? Really?
In all fairness, I'm sure Chace would have a good laugh if he saw what some triathletes (Benson) will pay for clothing and equipment.

Newton running shoes. $175.00

Rocket 7 cycle custom tri shoe. $489.00

QR Caliente, one of a kind paint scheme. Priceless.

I keep telling myself I need a cheaper hobby...as I shell out entry fees that are more than a normal person's monthly grocery budget!
I guess it just matters where your priorities are. I'd much rather spend $175 on a pair of kicks than a hoodie. But maybe that's just because athletes are generally smarter!
$540 for a hoodie!! Yikes.
Yes, I have a tri habit...that I'm disparately trying to pull in. There are worse addictions...at least I keep telling myself that.
its all about priorities..
if you want to spend what you spend on tri stuff...go for it...
your trip to italy..I imagine that, when all was said and done was fairly expensive..but can you put into a price range just how much enjoyment you got out of that??
My problem is that I like both kinds of shopping!
That's so funny - I wouldn't dream of spending more than $100 on shoes (things are expensive here) - except for running shoes and bike shoes!
Those clothes were horrid too, so BEIGE!
Indeed-Tri Gear is SO much better!!
See you at the DU on Sunday! I'll be the one in the $540 hoodie ;-)
How is it possible that the SHOES were the cheapest item. Only $42 that's a bargain :-)
I don't blink when I plop down $125 for good bike shorts that are going to keep me comfortable for a 100 mile ride.
But I scoff at the prices of "fashion" and absolutely refuse to fall prey to the whole thing!
We just have our priorities straight, that's all!
a $540 hoodie...that isn't even technical!?!? What is Prada thinking?!?!?
Man, at least those shoes and bike and stuff GET you something (i.e. FASTER). For those prices, the clothes had better wash and fold themselves!
I will never, ever, EVER understand brand whores.
ahhhh...that bike! Its too beautiful. I would be afraid to sit on it. And those shoes are cool too! When is your first race?
My sister once asked me if I ever added up what it costs me each day to get dressed in the morning. (She's quite uh - different from me). When she said it cost $3000 that day, I could only think, "ick" through my fake smile. I added up $65. But I was okay with that.
Missed you at the MN Tri Club Century ride today - did you do the DU in Sartell?
I had to laugh...I've never really thought about it that way. We seem to "forget" that our sport costs us real money. Of course, Chace probably doesn't have as many feelings & memories & excitement in those clothes as we do when we look at our bikes, or put on that tri suit and remember the events it has been through...or does he? I'll still pick tri gear over $400+ pants!
That bike is most definitely priceless!! I LOVE IT!
$175 for a pair of Newtons (that I wanting badly, btw) is MUCH more reasonable than a $540 hoodie!!
