I just had to mention this

Granada, Spain 2010.

I sent in my deposit for Strong Like Bull training camp in Spain, Feb. 2010.

Why?

I need this. Something to look forward to and train/rehab for. I need some light.
I don't have plans to race this season because of my knee-hab.
My knee is coming along pretty well with weight training, spinning, and swimming but it's slow going. No running but lots of walking = boring. I really want to run and staving off that craving is a real mental battle. I'm forcing my mental discipline to new levels in that regard. It's tough. "Make your weakness your strength."

Even my dog is getting a little antsy to run more. I've been taking her to the dog park so she can run and chase with other dogs while I walk around watching from a distance. Envious. She is so beautiful when she runs her heart out. Her Border Collie instincts take over and she starts to heard all the other dogs by circling them and nipping at their heels. Man, I wish I could run like that.
In due time.

Wow, that is so cool. And I know EXACTLY what you mean. I kicked for the first time in the pool yesterday during my swim workout – you know, like normal folks. The knee "kicked back" this morning - woke up with pain. Is that what happened with you your first time kicking in the pool? Up until know I had been using the pull buoy.

I know you must be tired of everybody saying patience - patience. But I know you can do this, and you will be stronger for waiting unitl you are ready.
Love you friend, and I love Pischka too!!!

That is awesome, and it's only 10 months away! That's nothing! keep at the mental battles and you'll be stronger in all ways than the rest ofus in no time!

It will be just around the corner before you know it. That sounds super fun! You'll get there bit by bit and with all the good rehab...taking it step by step you will be so much stronger. Hang in there. It is frustrating.

Great idea! Having been down the long-term-injury/rehab road, I know how it wears you down. A goal is the perfect thing to keep you motivated.

Aww I can't imagine not being able to run. Its the only thing that seems to shrink my life problems. It will get better soon and hopefully the bike will fulfill your cravings :)
