Most of the excess fluids have dissipated.
Range of motion is about 90%.
Still some swelling and general misshapen ugliness.
Icing and elevating every day.
Minor aches but no pain.
Stationary biking is fine.
Cross country skiing is great.
Donated 5 pairs of good running shoes to a charity.
Kept 4 pairs for myself...just in case.

Ouch, but glad it is getting much better ;-) Love the 'just in case.'
Glad you are making progress!
:)
Good for the charity. Good to see you active. Just wondering. Why did the doc say you can't run anymore? Is it a cartilage thing or a structural thing? Maybe you could post more details? Maybe you'll have other options later?
Glad to see you are starting to be on the mend! Enjoy all the new fun sports you can take up! There is life beyond running and you are diving in it.
man..you are really getting the knee back in order...wow...
good luck mending.....
thats nice how you donated the shoes... we forget how much those can be re-used...or parts recycled etc....cool
Holy crap Chef Jeffy....I had no idea you were having a rough go with the knee. I am happy to hear that you are mending well and that you are still able to do a number of activities that you enjoy. If you are looking for a mt bike partner this spring, let me know...I am an excellent crasher!!
